A blogging project called 'Global Voices Online,' brings together global blogs and their stories. The group and website grew out of a Harvard conference held last December and brings together bloggers from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. Though headquartered at Harvard Law School, it is a cooperative effort of contributors from every continent and dozens of countries.
Deborah Ann Dilley, a Turkish linguistics student at the University of Utah, is one of the authors at Global Voices. She writes regularly about Turkish and Kurdish blogospheres (some people may find that contradictory considering the radical views represented by both sides toward each), and recently mentioned this blog on her column. I do enjoy her work and appreciate her for introducing my blog to the international community.
You may check out her latest posts here. To find out more about Global Voices, you can click here.
I join many others in endorsing this excellent alternative resource that world citizens can turn to for discussions of countries and cultures that usually don’t receive adequate coverage in the mainstream media.
