Some of you might remember a Nicole Kidman movie that didn't do quite well in the box office a few years ago (actually a remake of the original back in 1975), 'The Stepford Wives.' In it, she portrays a woman who is transformed into the 'perfect' wife, in order to fit in with the rest of the wives in the town of Stepford, perfectly placid, perfectly beautiful, and perfectly obedient.
Doesn't the sight of Cindy McCain next to John remind you of a typical 'Stepford Wife?' Does she come with a wind-up mechanism?
But is she so perfect?
Didn't she have an 'affair' with John while he was still married to his first wife? Didn't she steal prescription drugs to support her addiction to painkillers? Does any of this matter? And even if it doesn't, why does she look like a barbie doll?
