'What do you want to be when you grow up?' was a question often asked by adults when we were kids. Our responses were somewhat prophetic in that we trusted our answers to be what we wanted and what those adults expected. 'Doctor,' 'lawyer,' 'pilot' (later graduated to 'astronaut') were the usual suspects. A few kids with better self-esteem even responded with 'husband' or 'wife', or 'a good father' and 'mother.' No one dared say 'stand-up comic' or 'America's Idol' or 'a blogger.'
Now that we are caught in the web of social media (pun intended), what do kids nowadays say when they are asked the same question? I have 10 probable responses that wouldn't be that far off. What do you think?
Do you have any that would make such a list?
